Twelve (12) months fixed term contract

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • LLB
  • Admitted Attorney of Advocate
  • Recognised Company Secretarial Qualification / Corporate Governance Qualification (Advantageous)

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 to 4 year’s post qualification experience (PQE) in the private or public sector

 

Key Outputs:

 The appointee will report and assist the Company Secretary with:

  • Ensuring the schedule of the Board, Board Committee and Management Committee meetings for the year is developed.
  • Ensuring the agendas for all meetings in conjunction with the chairperson and key executives are formulated.
  • Ensuring board packs and any other information are distributed to all relevant partied before the meeting as stipulated in various committee terms of reference and board charter.
  • Ensuring that action lists and resolutions from meetings are timeously communicated to management.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of minutes of meetings and timeous distribution as stipulated in the ToR and Board Charter.
  • Ensuring the minutes of board and committee meetings are filed according to legislation.
  • Continuously review all legislative, regulatory, and corporate governance developments that might affect the organisation’s operations and ensure the board and management committee are fully briefed.

 

Other Requirements needed:

  • Manage the Attorneys in the Amatola Water panel of Attorneys.
  • Ensure the litigations register is updated monthly and relevant information is received from the Attorneys.
  • Vetting of contracts and service level agreements.
  • Ensure information discovered by attorneys is submitted timeously.
  • Perform any other function as may be required.
