The Department of Water and Sanitation is proudly hosting the AU-AIP Water Investment Summit 2025 today, marking the first day of a three-day event dedicated to advancing the implementation of the Continental Africa Water Investment Programme (AIP). This vital programme was adopted in February 2021 during the 34th ordinary session of the African Union Summit by the Assembly of African Union Heads of State and Government.
Representing a commitment to this initiative, the Amatola Water Board is in attendance, led by Board Chairperson Dr. Sharpley. The summit serves as an essential platform for dialogue and collaboration concerning innovative water investment strategies and sustainable management practices across the continent.
