Salary: R 1 062 365 – 1 437 318
Minimum Qualifications:
• B.Comm, CIMA. or equivalent B Tech Degree with Management Accounting as a major
Minimum Experience:
• Ten (10) years' accounting experience with exposure to financial modelling, cost accounting,
management of staff and presentation skills.
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Executive Manager: Finance, the appointee will :
• Strategic forecasting of financial information for business purposes
• Calculating provisional tariff to aid the Tariff Committee in finalising proposed tariffs
• Preparing and coordinating the Operating income and expenditure budget and Capital Budget, to
provide an analysis for comparing actual expenditure to budget
• Preparing and coordinating the Operating and Maintenance Budget on behalf of Department of
Water and Sanitation to ensure that Amatola Waters costs are recovered against Budget
• Managing Budget controlling to ensure that variances are monitored and reported on
• Compiling Management Reports for management to make timeous business decisions
• Managing Cost analysis and scheme viability to ensure that accurate calculations are made for the
monitoring of costs and recoveries
• Reviewing control of systems relating to budgets ensuring that departments purchase within budget
limits and monitor BAAN ERP Software transactions ensuring that accurate information is produced
• Supporting Secondary activities for external operational projects
• Managing subordinates to ensure that obligations are met by the Management Accounting section
Other requirements needed:

• Valid unendorsed driver’s license
